There was an auction of the most expensive non-fungible token (NFT) in the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection. The bored Ape #8585.

In a world of mundane apes, the trippy ape with the king’s crown and heart sunglasses is an irresistible symbol. And in most cases, for those who hope to find their own Tomorrowland. The psychedelic body went up on OpenSea today for 2.7 million dollars.

The auction of the BAYC collection, which is a fantastic series of works, is continuous. And, it looks like there are three more in this latest batch to make their way onto the list. The other two contenders include #2087, who also has psychedelic skin. While number #5199 has green eyes. These BAYC NFTs were both sold at a value of more than $1 million each in the last 30days.

The Average Cost of a Bored Ape has been Doubling since August

The BAYC has accumulated an all-time sales volume of $567 billion. And currently, it ranks fifth on the list for most valuable NFT collections.

The price of BAYC has been on a steady climb for the past few months. And it’s not showing any signs of slowing down anytime soon. Before, the least expensive BAYC was under $100,000. Yet today, the figure is about $196,000.

The auction house Sotheby’s has been trying to get into the NFT game. Thus, this might be the trigger for the increase in prices.

The 101 Bored Ape’s have gone on sale, and the mini-collection is already a huge hit! Last Friday, there was an announcement that these adorable animals were up for grabs at 24.4 million dollars on September 1. As a result, investors bought all the Bored Apes.
