No one was spared by the NFT fever. South Korean electronics giant, Samsung did not want to be left behind. However, Samsung decided to take things up a notch with its NFTs.
While the crypto-verse was already thriving, NFTs a.k.a non-fungible tokens brought in increased traction into the industry. From prominent platforms to the average Joe, everyone wanted in on the NFT fun. Samsung hopped onto the NFT bandwagon with a great deal for NFT enthusiasts.
Samsung has reportedly curated an “NFT Aggregation Platform” focused solely on its smart TVs. This platform will be made available only on three of its models including MicroLed, Neo QLED as well as its Frame models.
NFTs from a wide range of marketplaces will be displayed on the aforementioned Samsung TV screens allowing users to delve deep into the art. Users can not only preview the NFT but also amass information about the author, blockchain along with other details about the art.
Samsung becomes first major TV manufacturer to incorporate NFTs
Samsung’s latest inclusion focuses on elevating the user experience under the “New Smart Hub”, the platform wrote,
“NFT Platform: This application features an intuitive, integrated platform for discovering, purchasing and trading digital artwork through MICRO LED, Neo QLED and The Frame.”
Furthermore, users who already own NFTs can exhibit their collections on the selected smart TVs.
Samsung hasn’t produced any intricate details about the inclusion of NFTs. More details are expected to flow in over the next couple of months once the TVs are rolled out.
While an array of platforms have already expressed support for NFTs, Samsung’s latest move could open a whole new window. The NFT space welcomed firms like Nike, McDonald’s as well as Coca-Cola. Governments didn’t shy away. Recently, a South Korean Presidential candidate, Lee Jae-myung revealed that he was prepping for a fundraiser using NFTs.
Almost everyone has caught the NFT bug and the zeal around the space wouldn’t be dying anytime soon.
